Embossed Gingerbread Cookies 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Got rave reviews from this incredibly delicious cookie!!! Just one quick question, can you freeze the dough to make the cookies at a later date?
JACQUI

(Sue's answer: "Yes, sure! So glad these were a hit! To freeze the dough form it into a flattened disk, and then you can double wrap it in plastic and foil, or put it in a heavy duty freezer bag and force out any excess air before zipping it up."

I love to make delicious food, photograph it, and write about it, but mostly, I just love to EAT. Isn’t that what it’s all about? My recipes are bold and vibrant, but totally approachable ~ and my philosophy? We should all have the tools to feed ourselves well, and the confidence to cut loose a little in the kitchen. Food should be fun!

Salmon bowl

Hey friends❣️ Happy Sunday! We had a family birthday this week and the birthday girl requested salmon sushi bowls for dinner. It’s not a difficult recipe, but somehow it took most of my day to pull together ~ probably because I was trying to make all the elements birthday-worthy. Thank goodness for the rice cooker I bought on a whim last year. Not having to worry about the rice was a help. I’m probably best known for my cakes around here, so when birthdays roll around I have plenty to choose...

blueberry lemon ricotta cake

Hey friends❣️ Moist cake lovers alert ~ here's one for your files. It's lovely, and there's not a dry crumb in sight. All taste testers, including a 3 year old, gobbled it up. This tender ricotta cake happens to pack a nice little protein boost as well ~ about 7 grams per small slice. And if you're into the whole cottage cheese craze you can use it too: just blend it first. Blueberry Lemon Ricotta Cake We celebrate the blueberry lemon combo every chance we get here in the Great Island...
