🤯 A Flavor I Can Only Describe as Mind Blowing

Hey friends❣️

After 16 years in the food industry I've pretty much seen it all...until the other day when I was testing a new recipe and came up with a flavor that I can only describe as mind blowing.

I consider you guys, my subscribers, to be my most dedicated cooks, so take this as an insider tip ~ make this asap! You won't be disappointed :)

Honey Caramel Sauce

So here's what I did ~ I made a classic easy caramel sauce, but instead of starting with table sugar, I made it with honey. (It takes 3 ingredients and just a few minutes.)

Honey is honestly one of the most complex flavors I’ve worked with ~ it’s sweet, yes, but there’s so much more going on. Depending on the flowers the bees visited it can taste floral, fruity, herbal, or even a little smoky.

When you add caramelization into the equation, well, you've got a literal flavor bomb!

What do you with your honey caramel sauce (besides scarf it down with a spoon?)

My recipe index is a treasure trove of dishes that would pair beautifully with caramel sauce. Here are some examples where a drizzle of caramel would elevate the flavors:

Then there’s cake, pound cake is a no-brainer

It makes a decadent drizzle topping for:

I love to make delicious food, photograph it, and write about it, but mostly, I just love to EAT. Isn’t that what it’s all about? My recipes are bold and vibrant, but totally approachable ~ and my philosophy? We should all have the tools to feed ourselves well, and the confidence to cut loose a little in the kitchen. Food should be fun!

palmiers

Hey friends❣️ One of the best perks of working from home? I can slip out to the patio whenever I need a little reset. It’s my happy place these days ~ I’ll mess around in the herb garden, yank a few weeds, or just sit and listen to the birds for a bit before heading back to the kitchen to wrangle the day’s recipe ⚔️ The patio is also the spot where I enjoy that all important end of the day snack!
