It's March 🌸 What's on the Menu?

Hey friends❣️

We made it! Daylight Saving Time, the first official days of spring… it’s all happening this month. So what’s on the menu?

Think asparagus, artichokes, peas, and the first fresh greens we’ve been craving after a long winter.

Also my homemade Thin Mint Cookies ~ they trend every March đź’š

The BEST of March...

Let's start with asparagus. Pick up a bunch or two of those little soldiers standing at attention in the produce aisle. They're going to be at their best, and cheapest, this month. We'll start the month with cozy cheesy dishes like bisque, gratin, and pasta. But no worries, by the end of the month we'll be making asparagus salad on repeat.

One of the highlights of March is always the Irish food. My Guinness Cake (with Irish Cream frosting) is probably the most luxe snack cake I've ever created. And my personal favorite Irish stew, Dublin Coddle has a brand new video, check it out!

March is also your last chance to indulge in peak citrus fruits. My Citrus and Fennel Salad is basically March on a plate! But if you want something a bit more...cozy, bake up some Orange Cardamom Scones.

On those blustery days in March you'll find me in the kitchen baking up a carrot snack cake or maybe my carrot cake muffins. I may even make the blockbuster Classic Carrot Layer Cake for a family birthday this month.

Don't forget about artichokes this month! Crispy Chicken with Artichoke Salsa is a favorite of mine, I will sometimes use frozen breaded chicken for a shortcut.

Lemony Tuscan Artichoke Soup is just glorious, and so sunny. Ditto my Mediterranean Artichoke Salad, it's guaranteed to revive you after a long salad-less winter.

Spinach and Artichoke Quiche is patterned after everybody's favorite dip!

Happy March y'all!

I love to make delicious food, photograph it, and write about it, but mostly, I just love to EAT. Isn’t that what it’s all about? My recipes are bold and vibrant, but totally approachable ~ and my philosophy? We should all have the tools to feed ourselves well, and the confidence to cut loose a little in the kitchen. Food should be fun!
