I eat it 2–3 times a week 🧡

Hey friends❣️

Good morning! Today I’m sharing a little bit of my personal health story with you. Like many of us, I take a statin to keep my cholesterol in check. I tolerate it well and don’t have any side effects, so it’s just been one of those background things in my life for years.

About a year ago, I made a simple, delicious change: I started eating salmon two to three times a week. It wasn’t a hard sell ~ I adore it, and so does my whole family. At my most recent checkup, my lipid panel showed a big improvement, and while I know there’s never just one factor, I love thinking that all that beautiful salmon might be part of the story.

So all that to say ~ let’s hear it for salmon!

How to Cook a Side of Salmon

This is a must read for anyone who loves salmon. Of course it's great for serving a crowd, but we cook it on Sunday and my husband and I portion it out for days. So good with so many different toppings and/or sauces. Everything you need to know is in the post.

Most recently I took a good jar of marmalade and created a sophisticated sweet glaze, it was delish!

I love to make delicious food, photograph it, and write about it, but mostly, I just love to EAT. Isn’t that what it’s all about? My recipes are bold and vibrant, but totally approachable ~ and my philosophy? We should all have the tools to feed ourselves well, and the confidence to cut loose a little in the kitchen. Food should be fun!
