I'm Under Attack! 😲

Hey friends❣️

Can we talk about something that’s been on my mind lately? It's the flood of AI-generated recipes and fake food content taking over the internet. If you’ve ever searched for a recipe and found yourself staring at a lifeless, weirdly perfect food photo with a recipe that just feels off—you’re not alone. AI-generated search results, auto-generated recipes, and even fake food photos and videos are everywhere, and they’re making it harder than ever to find real, reliable recipes from actual cooks who test and perfect them with care.

I’ve seen AI-written recipes that get basic ingredients wrong, suggest unsafe cooking methods, or are completely impractical to make. And don’t get me started on the fake food photos—AI can generate stunning images of food that doesn’t even exist. I mean, we all love a good food photo, but I promise, my recipes are real food, made in a real kitchen, with real ingredients. And I talk directly with you through the comment section, often answering your questions with the hour.

So, how can you protect yourself from fake recipes and help real food creators survive this mess?

💚 Stick with trusted sources ~ look for a real author with a bio, not just a name and a headshot. Look for personal details—does the author share cooking experiences, ingredient insights, or troubleshooting tips? Are the instructions detailed and practical, or do they feel vague and generic?
💚 Read the comments ~ if there’s no feedback or the comments sound like bots, that’s a red flag.
💚 Save and share real recipes ~ bookmark your favorite sites, follow our newsletters, and share our recipes. Every click and share helps keep legit food creators visible in search results.
💚 Engage! ~ Leaving a quick review, comment, or even just staying subscribed helps support real food bloggers more than you know.

Food is personal, and real recipes from real cooks matter. Thanks for being here, for cooking alongside me, and for keeping the world of authentic, tested recipes alive. Thanks for listening 💚

I'll be back tomorrow with a brand new recipe!

Sue Moran

I love to make delicious food, photograph it, and write about it, but mostly, I just love to EAT. Isn’t that what it’s all about? My recipes are bold and vibrant, but totally approachable ~ and my philosophy? We should all have the tools to feed ourselves well, and the confidence to cut loose a little in the kitchen. Food should be fun!

plum cobbler

Hey friends❣️ These days viral recipes are chasing shock value, wild combos, and over-the-top everything. But glossy plums bubbling up through a golden crust? That’s real drama. Old Fashioned Plum Cobbler I bake so often for this site that I rarely indulge in more than a taste or two of any one dessert, but I had two helpings right off the bat, and my husband polished off the rest after dinner. Time to bake up another plum cobbler 🙂 more baking with ricotta Fresh Plum Frozen Custard ~ I...

almond cheesecake

Hey friends❣️ No kidding, I'm convinced cheesecake is the easiest of all desserts, with such a huge payoff! My technique is absolutely the best, (and I bet you've never tried it.) One Bowl Almond Cheesecake Now this is the perfect summer dessert ~ just one bowl to clean, and it goes from fridge to plate with that cool, silky vibe only cheesecake can deliver. Almond is a personal favorite of mind and so many of my most loved dessert recipes (like the pear-almond tart, below) are...
