🌿 Sunday on Great Island

Happy Sunday!

I hope you all had a nice week. Somehow, for the first time in my life, I’ve become a garden person!

It started last fall, when we tore out all the grass in our front yard and turned it into a woodland garden with a winding flagstone path. This summer has been all about filling it in, although the deer and rabbits seem to think we planted the whole thing for them. It’s been a lot of trial and error.

My neighbor is leaving town and gifted me the ripe champagne currants from her yard. They're like jewels! I need to decide what to make with them asap, they won't last. They were stunningly beautiful on my almond pavlova.

Oh and I don't know how you're doing it lately, but dinner at our house is pretty often a last minute affair. Toast has come to the rescue more and more often.

Yes plain old toasting white, but also biscuits, pita, cornbread, tortillas, and more. There are lots of quick and easy ~ but most importantly delicious ~ ideas here.
