What I bake (when it’s just for me) ☕️

Hey friends❣️

If I haven’t turned you into a scone lover yet, I’m not doing my job. Scones are the perfect little breakfast bake — richer than muffins, not as indulgent as cake, and unbelievably quick to pull together. (This gingerbread version uses two of my favorite shortcuts.)
I hope you try them — the soft gingerbread spice and crackly vanilla glaze are pure holiday comfort.

more gingerbread!

  1. Glazed Gingerbread Bundt Cake ~ it has the most gorgeous golden color!
  2. Easy Gingerbread Cookies With Royal Icing ~ this is the ultimate holiday bake, I'm bringing the 'blank' cookies to a cookie decorating party next weekend.
  3. Gingerbread Spritz Cookies ~ spritz cookies deserve a comeback. The glaze makes these extra special.
  4. Soft Glazed Gingerbread Cookies ~ this is originally a Yotam Ottolengi recipe!

Another winning recipe! This will be my go to roast chicken recipe. Made as written (oh, without the butter) & it was moist, delicious & fragrant.

I love to make delicious food, photograph it, and write about it, but mostly, I just love to EAT. Isn’t that what it’s all about? My recipes are bold and vibrant, but totally approachable ~ and my philosophy? We should all have the tools to feed ourselves well, and the confidence to cut loose a little in the kitchen. Food should be fun!

Swedish Sugar Cookies

Hey friends❣️ Most of the year I’d probably (definitely) pass on a gaudy, rainbow-sprinkled cookie ~ but somehow it feels perfectly appropriate right now :) These classic sugar cookies are as simple as it gets: no chill, no rolling pins, just little buttery dough balls begging to be tossed in sparkly sugar. They’re pure holiday joy. Swedish Sugar Cookies I know some of you don't care for fruitcake, and maybe gingerbread's not your thing, but everybody loves sugar cookies! Marble Iced Sugar...

glazed gingerbread biscotti

Hey friends❣️ I have a weakness for all things gingerbread, and I love how it comes in so many different forms, from the most gorgeous holiday layer cake to the simplest drop cookie. Biscotti showcases those classic warm spices in a uniquely crunchy format ~ great for dunking and gifting (they stay fresh for weeks.)
