2-Ingredient Japanese “Cheesecake” + High-Protein Yogurt

Hey friends❣️

Cold enough for ya? When I’m hunkered down for a chilly weekend I usually bake, but this time I changed things up and made yogurt instead. This is the high-protein homemade yogurt I learned to make in my very first restaurant job, and I’ve been making it ever since.

Even if you don’t think you love yogurt, give this a try ~ it’s creamy and mild, not sharp or harsh, and naturally high in protein.

And then there’s the viral 2-Ingredient Japanese “Cheesecake” ~ one of the rare internet trends that’s actually a delicious discovery. I'm obsessed.

High Protein Homemade Yogurt (3 ingredients)

2-Ingredient Japanese Cheesecake!

You have to try this one to get it, I'm a big fan. Make it with a nice creamy yogurt and a nice thin cookie like Biscoff or Oreo Thins, and see what I mean.

So many variations to dream about, too 💭

Salsa Verde 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I made a variation of this recipe, the results were spectacular nonetheless. I did not have a blender, so I minced everything and simmered the sauce covered until it was nearly a puree. I will recommend this recipe to my Mom who is a world class chef.

I love to make delicious food, photograph it, and write about it, but mostly, I just love to EAT. Isn’t that what it’s all about? My recipes are bold and vibrant, but totally approachable ~ and my philosophy? We should all have the tools to feed ourselves well, and the confidence to cut loose a little in the kitchen. Food should be fun!

Turkish Coffee Shortbread

Hey friends❣️ I just had a “milestone” birthday and, naturally, all the cliché thoughts came rushing in… where’s my life going, what's next, what have I accomplished? One thing I can say without much soul-searching is that I’ve mastered the art of shortbread 🙂 I’ve created so many shortbread recipes over the years that I’m starting to circle back and revisit them. When I do, I re-test, tweak where needed, and give them a fresh set of (always delicious) new photos. Turkish Coffee Shortbread...

healthy side of salmon

Hey friends❣️ Good morning! Today I’m sharing a little bit of my personal health story with you. Like many of us, I take a statin to keep my cholesterol in check. I tolerate it well and don’t have any side effects, so it’s just been one of those background things in my life for years. About a year ago, I made a simple, delicious change: I started eating salmon two to three times a week. It wasn’t a hard sell ~ I adore it, and so does my whole family. At my most recent checkup, my lipid panel...
