NOVEMBER'S RECIPE ROUNDTABLE CHALLENGE: your family's best holiday cookie 🍪

I’m looking for a fresh cookie to share this holiday season:

  • Dig out a family favorite, or invent something brand new.
  • Send it to me by November 20th.
  • Be sure to tell me what makes it special.
  • Any holiday, any tradition ~ Diwali, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa… whatever you celebrate.

I’ll photograph and feature one of your recipes on the view from great island (with credit to you.)

Dr. Mark's Life Changing Cookies 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

These are delicious. Mine were very flat and didn’t need the banging. Made as written except I added a 1/2 teaspoon of cardamon. Put the dough in a ziplock and baked six or eight every night. Highly recommend, hubs loved them. Will be part of my Christmas cookie lineup this year.

Pumpkin Praline Cake 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This recipe is FANTASTIC!!! Moist, delicious, easy….One of my fave pumpkin desserts!!! I LOVE baking/decorating layer cakes, but sometimes for ease/time constraint these one layers are the way to go! And this one is absolutely perfect!😌

I love to make delicious food, photograph it, and write about it, but mostly, I just love to EAT. Isn’t that what it’s all about? My recipes are bold and vibrant, but totally approachable ~ and my philosophy? We should all have the tools to feed ourselves well, and the confidence to cut loose a little in the kitchen. Food should be fun!

Yellowmeal Irish Soda Bread

Hey friends❣️ It's always a good day when I can share a new Irish recipe with you. This one is unique and familiar at the same time. Golden cornmeal gives classic soda bread such a lift. Great flavor, and so pretty! It takes just minutes to throw together and it was perfect with our bowl of soup! Irish Yellowmeal Soda Bread I must have 5 different types of cornmeal in my pantry, but I find myself turning to plain yellow cornmeal most often.
