I've been having a lot of fun testing your holiday cookie submissions ~ thank you! If you missed out on the fun don't worry, there'll be another challenge in December, announced, as always, right here in the newsletter. I'll be posting the winning cookie after Thanksgiving.

Fresh out of the oven today: my fun pecan pie bars. Crust-a-phobes will love the easy press-in crust, and there’s not a drop of corn syrup in the filling. Pretty sweet.

I made this for the first time on Thanksgiving and my son, who requests green bean casserole every year, loved it! Phew! He even talked about it a week later! I will be making this every year and will make it for Christmas dinner too. Thanks again for the yummy recipes! Ps..I didn’t use dried mushrooms, just whole fresh and it was fine.And I used the bagged French onions...
