This 2-ingredient ritual is quietly changing my mornings ☀️

Hey friends❣️

My son-in-law taught me how to make kefir and I'm excited to share it with you!

Homemade Kefir

The name kefir originates from the Slavic keif, meaning ‘well-being’ or ‘living well’ | Pronounced kuh-FEAR

Homemade kefir is smooth, tangy, and packed with feel-good probiotics. All you need is 2 ingredients and a jar, and it's a nice change from yogurt (with even more probiotics!) It's been a helpful next step on my personal journey to better eating and making my calories count.

I find that just 1/2 cup in the morning primes me for making better choices the rest of the day. I blend it with an equal amount of fresh or frozen fruit (I'll share ideas for that with you next week.) This mornings strawberry kefir below 🍓

Don't know if you've noticed, but we've got a lot of recipes that center around the idea of transforming dairy into something magical:

I love to make delicious food, photograph it, and write about it, but mostly, I just love to EAT. Isn’t that what it’s all about? My recipes are bold and vibrant, but totally approachable ~ and my philosophy? We should all have the tools to feed ourselves well, and the confidence to cut loose a little in the kitchen. Food should be fun!
