This Might Be the Prettiest Thing You’ve Ever Microwaved 🍓🍋

Hey friends❣️

Today is bonus day ~ two new recipes (one old favorite and one creative twist I bet you haven't had before) and a fun new method for making them that will amaze you.

Grab a scone, a croissant, a piece of toast, a biscuit ~ or just a spoon ~ and let's get into it!!

Fresh Strawberry Curd

For me there's something incredibly satisfying about making these high level fruit spreads so quickly. It really is like magic.

One nice thing about these small batch microwave recipes is that you can

  • whip them up on a whim
  • with just a small amount of fruit

I've tested this with other citrus like tangerine and grapefruit, it basically works with any type of juice or puree but sharp tangy flavors work best. I add lemon juice to my strawberry puree for that reason, it just blooms the flavor!

And YES, I give you stove top instructions if you want to do it the old fashioned way!

PS I love to use Weck jars for my jams, jellies, and curds. You can find them here.

I love to make delicious food, photograph it, and write about it, but mostly, I just love to EAT. Isn’t that what it’s all about? My recipes are bold and vibrant, but totally approachable ~ and my philosophy? We should all have the tools to feed ourselves well, and the confidence to cut loose a little in the kitchen. Food should be fun!

lemon cheesecake

Hey friends❣️ I tweaked Ina's recipe and made it just a little bit better! Ina Garten's Cauliflower Gratin Among all the celebrity chefs Ina’s recipes are consistently the most reliable. She’s known for being a meticulous recipe tester and it shows. But good food is an art, and artists can approach the same subject from slightly different angles with equally great results. And when you start with something amazing and make it a little bit better, everybody wins. I love gratins ~ it's that...
