🌿 Sunday on Great Island

Happy Sunday! My world is flowering and I'm happy. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for early spring edible flowers like:

  • pansies
  • violets
  • chive blossoms
  • lilacs
  • honeysuckle
  • even dandelions

You can toss them in salads, or on a spring appetizer platter. Decorate cakes, cheesecakes, and cookies, I've even been known to scatter them on a side of salmon or in a bowl of soup.

I make a gorgeous violet lemonade that is the most gorgeous color. And of course, cocktails!

No Bake Strawberry Cheesecake Squares


This week I re-tested a fabulous spring dinner recipe from way back in 2014 (it has over 55,000 shares.) You can do it in the oven like I did, or on a grill.

My mouth waters just thinking about chimichurri sauce, and if you don't know it, you need to. I triple dipped every one of those chunks of beef!

Green sauces like Chimichurri just feel right right now. They do so much heavy lifting in the kitchen and brighten so many meals. Stock up on fresh herbs and choose one to make this week!
